Job summary

Westmont of Chico, an assisted living and memory care community, is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents with daily medication needs and assist the RN and team.

Role requires night and weekend availability, prior assisted living experience, and accurate MAR documentation in accordance with policies and state regulations. Westmont Living offers competitive pay, benefits after 30 days, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have Assisted Living experience.
• Must be available nights and weekends.
• Must pass health screen and background checks as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration of medications.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance.
• Record reasons for PRN medication and effectiveness of medication.

What we need from you:

• MUST be available Nights and Weekends

• MUST have open availability

• MUST have Assisted Living Experience.

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-

administration of their medications

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at

the direction of the RN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

• Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
• Leaves no blanks on MARs
• Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
