Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living seeks a dedicated Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure safe, accurate medication delivery for residents. You will administer medications per orders, document in MAR/TAR in real time, monitor residents, and maintain clean medication areas, following Six Rights and infection control standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma/GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid, and strong documentation skills. Senior care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (age 18+).
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills in a care setting.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
