This role emphasizes adherence to the Six Rights of Medication Administration, real-time MAR/TAR documentation, and vigilant observation of residents during passes.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid, and strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
