Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide / Med Tech to administer medications and treatments safely with dignity, following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration. You will document in MAR/TAR in real time and monitor residents during and after passes, reporting any concerns promptly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid, good communication skills, and prefer senior care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Observe residents during and after medication passes
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or concerns promptly
• Complete narcotic counts per policy
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms
• Follow infection control and safety standards
