Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a qualified Medication Aide / Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity. The role requires administering per orders, documenting in MAR/TAR, and observing for changes while maintaining infection control and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid, strong documentation and communication skills, and prefers senior care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; age 18
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Senior care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Observe residents during and after medication passes
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or concerns promptly
• Complete narcotic counts per policy
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms
• Follow infection control and safety standards
