Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely and with dignity. You will administer meds per orders, document in MAR/TAR, observe patients, and maintain clean medication areas, while upholding infection control standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
