Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely, accurately, and with dignity. You will administer meds per physician orders, observe residents, and maintain infection control and safety standards.

We look for a High School Diploma/GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR and First Aid certification, and strong documentation and communication skills. Senior care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+.
• Medication Administration certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Observe residents during and after medication passes
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or concerns promptly
• Complete narcotic counts per policy
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms
• Follow infection control and safety standards
