Job summary

Sinceri Senior Living in Portland, Oregon, is seeking caring individuals to join our team as Caregivers or CNAs to support residents with daily living activities and medication assistance under licensed supervision.

English proficiency is required, and completion of Medication Aide training (where required) is expected. We offer a team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Caregiver or CNA for the elderly in residential or long-term care settings (state requirements may apply).
• Must read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Must complete Medication Aide training (and certification where required).

Responsibilities

• Provide medication assistance for residents per state regulations and policy, including pouring, preparing, assisting, and documenting.
• Maintain medication cart and storage room in a neat, orderly manner.
• Ensure accurate medication counts and security of cart and storage room during assigned shifts.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Engage residents in conversation, socialization, and activities while providing care and medication assistance.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and coordinate with licensed nurses as required.
• Uphold Residents’ Rights and all company policies.
• Observe changes in residents’ condition and report to a licensed nurse.
• Complete documentation such as MARs, incident reports, and change-of-condition notes promptly.
• Assist in dining room during meals and encourage participation in activities.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks related to caregiving as needed.
