Job summary

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completed Medication Aide Course, and active CNA and Med Tech licenses. A compassionate, team-oriented approach is essential, with flexibility to work weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completed Medication Aide Course.
• CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Pass all medication cart audits.
• Attend 4 hours of medication education annually.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Organized and able to work with all staff levels.
• Friendly, professional, and calm during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures for the role.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and resident status to appropriate personnel.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or alerts.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs.
• Follow confidentiality policies for resident information.
• Assist residents to dining room and activities, and monitor attendance.
• Document medication administration on EMAR/MAR.
• Re-order meds, coordinate with pharmacy and families as needed.
• Attend and complete required in-services and staff meetings.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
