Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Chesapeake, Virginia is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care for residents and assist with daily living activities. The role includes administering prescribed medications within the scope of practice and supporting a safe, compassionate living environment.

The position requires a valid CNA and Med Tech license, completion of a Medication Aide Course, and ability to communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns to appropriate individuals.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed.
• Responds to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding resident information.
• Completes medication cart audits and maintains the medication cart.
• Documents all medication administration in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
