Job summary

First Mid Bank & Trust is hiring a Medicare Specialist in Champaign, IL to educate members on Medicare options, support enrollments, and provide ongoing customer service. The role focuses on driving new member enrollment and sales growth while expanding cross-sell opportunities.

The position requires strong communication, sales skills, and licensure in health insurance, with a base salary in the $51k–$55k range and additional incentive pay described in Total Rewards.

Responsibilities

• Consult with and educate prospective and existing members on Medicare products, benefits, and coverage options through inbound and outbound calls.
• Assess individual needs, recommend appropriate Medicare plans, and facilitate enrollments while delivering a high-quality customer experience.
• Meet established production, retention, and performance goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of member interactions, sales activity, and enrollment activity within company systems.
• Identify additional coverage needs and cross-selling opportunities while maintaining a member-focused approach.
• Stay informed on Medicare guidelines, carrier products, and organizational procedures to ensure accurate communication and service delivery.
