Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. in Champaign, IL is seeking a Medicare Specialist (Sales) to educate members on Medicare products, support enrollments, and deliver ongoing customer service.

The role aims to drive new member enrollment and sales growth while supporting retention and cross-selling. You will be a primary contact for guidance on coverage options, stay informed on Medicare guidelines, and maintain accurate documentation of interactions and enrollment activity to ensure a high-quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in Medicare sales, health insurance, customer service, or inside sales preferred.
• Active health insurance license (or ability to obtain and maintain licensure as required).
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales, production, and enrollment goals.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult with and educate prospective and existing members on Medicare products, benefits, and coverage options through inbound and outbound calls
• Assess individual needs, recommend appropriate Medicare plans, and facilitate enrollments while delivering a high-quality customer experience
• Meet established production, retention, and performance goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of member interactions, sales activity, and enrollment activity within company systems
• Identify additional coverage needs and cross-selling opportunities while maintaining a member-focused approach
• Stay informed on Medicare guidelines, carrier products, and organizational procedures to ensure accurate communication and service delivery
