Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Medicare Specialist (Sales) to engage prospective and existing members with Medicare education, enrollment support, and ongoing customer service.

This role serves as the primary contact for guidance on Medicare products while driving enrollment and sales growth. You will educate on plans, assess needs, facilitate enrollments, and maintain accurate documentation in company systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor preferred.
• Active health insurance license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience in Medicare sales, health insurance, or inside sales.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to meet sales, production, and enrollment goals.

Responsibilities

• Consult with and educate prospective and existing members on Medicare products, benefits, and coverage options through inbound and outbound calls
• Assess needs, recommend appropriate Medicare plans, and facilitate enrollments while delivering a high-quality customer experience
• Meet established production, retention, and performance goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of member interactions, sales activity, and enrollment activity within company systems
• Identify additional coverage needs and cross-selling opportunities while maintaining a member-focused approach
• Stay informed on Medicare guidelines, carrier products, and organizational procedures to ensure accurate communication and service delivery
