Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. in Champaign, IL seeks a Medicare Specialist (Sales) to engage prospective and existing members with Medicare education, enrollment support, and ongoing service.

This role serves as the primary contact for guidance on Medicare products and coverage options, driving new member enrollment and sales growth while supporting retention. You will cross-sell and identify additional coverage needs, build trusted relationships through accurate product knowledge and effective

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicare products, benefits and enrollment processes.
• Experience in Medicare sales, health insurance, customer service, or inside sales.
• Active health insurance license or ability to obtain license as required.
• Proven ability to meet sales, production and enrollment goals.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult with and educate prospective and existing members on Medicare products, benefits, and coverage options through inbound and outbound calls
• Assess individual needs, recommend appropriate Medicare plans, and facilitate enrollments while delivering a high-quality customer experience
• Meet established production, retention, and performance goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of member interactions, sales activity, and enrollment activity within company systems
• Identify additional coverage needs and cross-selling opportunities while maintaining a member-focused approach
• Stay informed on Medicare guidelines, carrier products, and organizational procedures to ensure accurate communication and service delivery
