Job summary

Oak Street Health is hiring a Patient Relations Analyst to educate patients about Medicare programs and insurance options, improving access to care and retention. You will act as the clinic’s insurance expert, guiding patients through coverage, benefits, and billing while supporting the care and outreach teams.

The role involves educating patients on public benefits, assisting with open enrollment periods, and collaborating on scheduling, billing, and patient events.

Qualifications

• Ability to navigate multiple computer programs (Gmail, Word, Excel, etc.)
• US work authorization required
• Experience with patient or customer insurance explanations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with navigating Medicare and insurance issues including coverage, benefits, eligibility
• Serve as in-clinic resource on insurance questions for providers and staff
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system and resolve medical bills including advocacy for the patient
• Educate patients on applying for public benefits and prescription assistance
• Support clinic management with scheduling and billing as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster patient engagement through events
