Job summary

Oak Street Health seeks a Patient Relations Analyst to educate patients about Medicare programs and affordable coverage options to improve access and retention. This role advocates for patients, guiding them through insurance choices and bills, and supports the care team with Medicare questions.

Analysts work primarily during Open Enrollment periods, reporting to the Associate Patient Relations Manager or Practice Manager, and ensure patients understand all available options.

Qualifications

• Computer skills to navigate multiple programs (Gmail, Word/Docs, Excel).
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with navigating Medicare and insurance issues, including eligibility and plan utilization.
• Serve as an in-clinic resource on insurance questions for providers and staff.
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system and resolve medical bills as an advocate.
• Build trust with patients to advise on Medicare coverage options.
• Manage welcome visits and new-patient orientation.
• Educate patients on applying for public benefits and extra help programs.
• Support clinic operations including scheduling and billing.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients.
• Foster patient engagement through events and center tours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
