Job summary

Oak Street Health seeks a Patient Relations Analyst to educate patients about Medicare programs, resources, and affordable insurance options to improve access to care and retention. PRAs advocate for patients, navigating insurance and bills while supporting care and outreach teams.

They assist with Medicare enrollment, become a clinic resource for insurance questions, and report to the Associate Patient Relations Manager or Practice Manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly navigate multiple programs (Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel)
• US work authorization is required
• Preferred: proficiency in non-English languages as required by center demographics

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with navigating Medicare and insurance issues (coverage, benefits, eligibility)
• Serve as internal clinic resource on insurance questions for providers and staff
• Help patients resolve medical bills and navigate the healthcare system
• Advise patients to maximize their plan benefits and access to care
• Manage welcome visits and new patient orientations
• Educate patients on applying for public benefits and Extra Help programs
• Support clinic management with scheduling and billing tasks
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Foster patient engagement through events and center tours
• Perform other duties as assigned
