Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Patient Relations Analyst to educate patients about Medicare programs, resources, and affordable insurance options to improve access to care and retention. Analysts are the clinic’s insurance experts, guiding patients through eligibility and plan options during Open Enrollment and beyond.

Qualifications

• Must be able to navigate multiple computer programs (Gmail, Word/Docs, Excel, etc.).
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in navigating Medicare and insurance issues, including coverage, benefits, eligibility and plan utilization.
• Serve as a clinic resource on insurance questions for providers and staff.
• Help patients resolve medical bills and advocate for the patient within and outside Oak Street Health.
• Build trust with patients to advise on healthcare coverage and improve access to care.
• Manage welcome visits and orientation for new patients.
• Educate patients on applying for public benefits (e.g., Public Aid, Extra Help).
• Support clinic operations including scheduling and billing; provide exceptional customer service.
• Engage patients through events and center tours; perform other duties as assigned.
