Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services in Baltimore seeks a Dock Worker to move and process medical waste following established safety procedures. You will help maintain clean work areas, operate carts, and support the plant's daily workflow in a fast-paced environment.

You must be able to lift 50–75 pounds, work flexible shifts including overtime and weekends, and contribute to a safety-first team focused on reliable service to healthcare facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, overtime, and weekends as required.
• Ability to work as a team member quickly, safely, and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the loading and unloading of carts.
• Maintain the unloading area for cleanliness and safety.
• Inspect carts for damage, missing lids or handles, and overall cleanliness.
• Cycle carts through tippers and cart washers.
• Unload box waste from trailers and place boxes on conveyors.
• Monitor the number of boxes unloaded and record on appropriate documentation.
• Operate box waste scale station as required.
• Monitor and record scale weights for billing purposes.
• Perform general plant cleanup duties, including cleaning up spilled waste or materials.
• Other duties as required.
