Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services seeks a dedicated Sharps Technician to manage on-site placement and collection of sharps and medical waste across healthcare facilities. You will maintain schedules, ensure safe handling, and deliver exceptional service to hospital staff and facilities.

The role requires lifting 25-40 lbs, occasional heavy lifting, and the ability to travel between sites with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass background check, drug screening, and any required healthcare screenings.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills for diverse healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Travel between facilities to place, collect, and service Sharps containers.
• Collect and transport pharmaceutical waste to designated areas.
• Maintain a strict service and collection schedule.
• Communicate duty status and service updates on a defined schedule.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by resolving questions and concerns.
• Ensure safe, compliant handling of medical and pharmaceutical waste.
• Operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Document activities and follow procedures.
• Other duties as required.
