Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate to support daily operations at our Petersburg facility. You will load/unload autoclave carts, move and stage waste, and help with cleaning, weighing, and documentation to ensure safe, compliant processing.

We value safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedules, including weekends, may be required; strong teamwork and dependable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-2 years of warehouse, manufacturing, sanitation, or labor experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds and push/pull loads up to 200 pounds.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload autoclave carts and box waste safely and efficiently.
• Move carts through tipping and cart washing equipment.
• Clean containers and equipment using pressure washing tools.
• Inspect carts and containers for cleanliness and damage.
• Weigh box waste and accurately record processing information.
• Bale cardboard and assist with loading trailers for shipment.
• Keep work areas, unloading zones, and equipment clean and organized.
• Perform general housekeeping and facility cleanup tasks.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Track and document daily processing and production volumes.
• Work closely with team members to support daily operations.
• Assist with process improvements and special projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
