Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a dependable Sharps Technician to perform on-site placement, collection, and transport of sharps and pharmaceutical waste across assigned healthcare facilities in Maryland.

You will maintain safety and regulatory compliance while delivering excellent service to hospital staff, with paid training, uniforms, and health benefits supporting a stable, mission-driven workplace.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills in healthcare settings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to pass background checks and vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Travel between and within assigned healthcare facilities to place, collect, and service reusable Sharps Medical Waste containers (Sharps, Rx, Haz, Document Destruction, etc.).
• Collect and transport pharmaceutical waste to designated areas within the facility.
• Maintain a strict service and collection schedule for timely support.
• Communicate duty status and service updates on a defined schedule.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by resolving questions and concerns.
