Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is hiring a Patient Care Technician – FULL TIME DAYS. The PCT provides patient care, supports independent and dependent activities of daily living, vital signs, mobility and ambulation, phlebotomy, point of care testing, EKG testing, peripheral IV removal, specimen collection, and foley catheter insertion and removal, under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required with one of the listed certifications or relevant clinical training.
• Current certification requirements may include CNA, NCPCT, NCMA or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience as PCT or Nursing Assistant within last three years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs and monitor patient status timely.
• Assist mobility, phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen collection.
• Assist with Foley catheter insertion/removal and IV removal as directed.
