Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician for a full-time night shift in Williamsburg, VA, to support the Medical Telemetry unit.

The role includes patient care, vital signs, mobility assistance, phlebotomy, EKG testing, and specimen collection, under the supervision of an RN. AHA BLS within 90 days is required, with one year of health care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS – High School Grad or Equivalent.
• One of the following programs: Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, CNA/NCMA/NCPCT, Navy Hospital Corps School, EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT, RN/LPN/RT/PT clinical experience within last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with daily living activities.
• Monitor vital signs, mobility, ambulation, and safety.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and IV removal.
• Collect specimens and document changes accurately for the RN and medical staff.
