Job summary

Patient First is seeking a dedicated laboratory technician in New Jersey to deliver accurate lab results and support patient testing workflows. You will follow strict quality control, manage specimen handling, calibrations, and documentation, and assist physicians and nurses as needed.

The role requires proficiency in venipuncture, strong communication, and CPR certification, with opportunities for on-site training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• 60 college hours with chemistry/biology courses or an appropriate degree.
• One year of documented technician training or military MEDLAB training.
• Two years of clinical lab testing experience preferred.
• Annual CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and rapid lab results with proper procedures and safety.
• Handle specimen collection, processing, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Assist Physicians, Extenders, and Nurses with patient care and triage.
• Order lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed by Physicians.
• Perform instrument calibrations, quality control, and maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab and treatment areas.
