Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Lab Technology/Clinical Lab Science or related field required.
- 2 years clinical lab experience preferred.
- Licensure/certification as Medical Technologist (ASCP/AMT) Upon Hire or MLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical procedures in hematology, chemistry, serology, blood bank, POCT, urinalysis and microbiology.
- Ensures quality control/QA guidelines and participates in proficiency testing.
- Maintains equipment, inventories, QC documentation and safety protocols.
- Assists in training staff and students; may lead in absence of supervisor.
- Supports accreditation readiness with CAP, DNV and other standards.
- Performs specimen collection and phlebotomy as applicable.
- Collaborates with physicians and multi-disciplinary team to support patient care.
