Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform technical procedures across Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Blood Bank, POCT, Urinalysis and Microbiology. The MT will ensure quality control, maintain equipment, and participate in proficiency testing while supporting training of staff and students.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Technology/Clinical Lab Science and ASCP/AMT or MLS certification upon hire; 2 years of clinical lab experience

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Technology/Clinical Lab Science or related field (required).
• Licenses/certifications: Medical Technologist (MT) ASCP/AMT or MLS AMT, upon hire (required).
• Experience: 2 years clinical lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical procedures in Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Blood Bank, POCT, Urinalysis and Microbiology.
• Maintains quality control/QA guidelines and accurate documentation.
• Assists in training staff and students; acts as lead technologist in supervisor's absence.
• Responsible for lab accreditation readiness with CAP, DNV, CLIA and others.
