Job summary

Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA is seeking a part-time Medical Technologist to perform technical procedures across hematology, chemistry, serology, blood bank, POC testing, urinalysis and microbiology.

You will support quality control, QA programs, proficiency testing and accreditation readiness with CAP, DNV and other standards, and participate in staff and student training as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Lab Technology/Clinical Lab Science or related field is required.
At least 2 years of clinical lab experience preferred.
ASCP or AMT certification as MT/MLS/CLS upon hire is required.

Responsibilities

Perform technical procedures in hematology, chemistry, serology, blood bank, POC testing, urinalysis and microbiology.
Ensure quality control and QA guidelines are followed and participate in proficiency testing.
Maintain equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and assist in staff training.
