Prime Healthcare's Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX is seeking a Medical Surgical CNA to support patient care on the Med-Surg unit during night shifts. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, feeding and vital signs, while monitoring changes in patients' conditions under the direction of registered nurses.

The role requires current CNA certification, BLS, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least six months of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office preferred.
• Facility Specific Requirements: Behavioral Violence Prevention certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown and monitoring intake/output.
• Take and record vital signs and observe/report changes in patient condition; may assist with wound care under RN direction.
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms; ensure environment is clean and safe.
• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Assistpatients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting

• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to preventskin breakdown, you may also feed patients who needassistanceand monitor intake/output

• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration),observeand report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN

• Stock andmaintainsupplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe

• Assistin transporting patients within the hospital

Qualifications
