Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in the United States recruits a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations and ensure donor safety. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage adverse events, and coordinate with the Center Physician for medical issues, under center management guidance.

The role requires state licensing in applicable clinical fields (EMT/PN/RN variants), CPR/AED certification, and prior clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed clinical professional with state licensure where duties are assigned.
• Determines donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Reviews test results and communicates with Center Physician on medical issues.
• Follows SOPs for donor safety and emergency transport when needed.
• Supports vaccination programs and EHS-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including medical history and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and coordinate with medical staff.
• Review laboratory results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Refer complex issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs and workplace safety initiatives.
