Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will assess donor eligibility, perform exams and tests, and coordinate with physicians to ensure donor safety.

The role requires healthcare licensure (EMT/paramedic or RN/LPN), CPR/AED certification, and prior clinical experience. A supportive environment with benefits and growth opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• State-licensed healthcare professionals in EMT/paramedic or nursing roles.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting are preferred.
• Fulfill FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Maintain basic IV therapy qualifications where required by state.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance.
• Perform physical exams, blood testing, and review SPE results per SOPs.
• Evaluate donor reactions and coordinate with Center Physician for medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Manage incidents and liaise with occupational health/ER; assist with pandemic investigations when authorized.
