Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to join our patient care team in Jacksonville. You will perform routine medical procedures under supervision, conduct DOT and non-DOT testing, and support the center with registration, referrals, and documentation.

A strong focus on patient experience and accuracy in records is essential. The role requires a MEDICAL ASSISTANT program graduate or equivalent experience, with 6+ months in patient care, and familiarity with occupational medicine

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or 1+ year direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Minimum 6 months of medical assistant experience.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of state-specific occupational medicine requirements preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for examinations; assist with vaccines, phlebotomy, and related procedures.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Handle front office duties: greet patients, check in/out, answer multi-line calls, and document accurately.
• Maintain supplies, clean rooms, and stock exam rooms; operate and calibrate medical devices as required.
• Dispense medications and DME as ordered in line with state regulations.
• Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and testing processes.
