Job summary

Concentra is hiring a Medical Support Specialist to perform routine medical procedures and front/back office duties under clinician supervision. You will prepare patients, conduct rapid screenings, and support DOT/non-DOT testing, vaccination administration, phlebotomy, and EHR documentation.

The role emphasizes quality patient care, excellent service, HIPAA compliance, and ongoing training in a fast-paced environment at our Lakeland center.

Qualifications

• Education: Vocational/Technical/Business School.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or 1+ year direct patient care as MA, or military medical specialist experience (state credentials apply).

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug/alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations including vitals and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Handle clerical tasks in front and back office with accurate record keeping.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Maintain a neat, clean facility and proper supplies.
