Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or at least six months of direct patient care experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for examinations including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Maintain and stock supplies and clean exam rooms.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
