Job summary

Concentra in Mesa, AZ, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to join our patient care team. You will perform routine medical procedures under supervision, greet patients, and support registration and referrals to ensure a smooth, respectful patient experience.

You will handle DOT/non-DOT testing, basic exams prep, vitals, rapid screenings, front-office duties, documentation, HIPAA compliance, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred.
• Or at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Military medical specialist experience may meet credentials in state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug & alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vitals and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Handle routine medical procedures and triage emergent patients.
• Assist with front/back office duties and patient recordkeeping.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and safety guidelines.
