Job summary

Concentra in Omaha, NE is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to join our patient care team. You will perform routine medical procedures under direct supervision, support in registration and referral management, and help ensure a welcoming, efficient patient experience.

Typical duties include preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, conducting rapid tests, assisting providers, handling front office tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation while complying with HIPAA and safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with externship preferred.
• At least one year of direct patient care experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Military medical specialist experience may be considered per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Maintain and document accurate patient records complying with HIPAA.
