Job summary

Concentra in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Medical Support Specialist to perform routine medical procedures under direct supervision and support in registration and referral management. You will deliver high-quality patient care, maintain documentation, and contribute to an excellent patient experience.

The role requires taking vitals, preparing patients for exams, rapid testing, assisting clinicians, and handling front/back office duties while ensuring HIPAA and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred or at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Military medical specialist experience with credentials valid in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Conduct rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examinations and treatment.
• Perform routine medical procedures as ordered by the clinician and triage emergencies.
• Handle front and back office duties and maintain proper records.
• Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment; ensure HIPAA compliance and safety.
