Job summary

Concentra in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team. The MSS will perform routine medical procedures under clinician supervision and support in registration and referral management for a fast-paced clinic.

The role includes DOT/non-DOT testing, vital signs, phlebotomy, vaccines, rapid screenings, and front/back office duties while ensuring HIPAA compliance and excellent patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care as an MA.
• State requirements and regulations must be met for employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for exams including vital signs and ancillary testing/screenings.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Handle routine medical procedures and triage emergencies as needed.
• Assist with procedure setup and injury care.
• Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered.
• Dispense medications and DME per clinician orders.
• Maintain equipment and QA for devices and testing processes.
• Maintain supplies and clean, organized exam rooms.
• Operate and calibrate medical devices and document accordingly.
• Notify supervisor if equipment or supplies are low or unavailable.
• Support patient flow and communicate wait times.
• Handle front/back office tasks and documentation accuracy.
• Front desk duties: check-in/out, authorizations, calls, paperwork.
