Job summary

Concentra in New Jersey is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to perform routine medical procedures under clinician supervision and support front and back office tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, DOT/non-DOT testing, rapid screenings, and assisting providers during examinations, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship (preferred) or 1+ year direct patient care experience as MA.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology; Occupational medicine knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for exams: vital signs, ancillary testing, vaccines, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram, fit testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Triage emergencies and assist in procedure setup and injury care.
