Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (MSS) to join our patient care team. You will perform routine medical procedures under supervision, support in registration and referral management, and ensure high-quality patient experiences.

Responsibilities include DOT/non-DOT testing, patient prep, vital signs, rapid screening, and assisting clinicians. Strong attention to detail, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or at least 1 year of direct patient care experience.
• Must meet state requirements and applicable regulations for credentials.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and perform ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Triage emergent patients and perform routine medical procedures as ordered.
• Prepare and assist with procedure setup and injury care.
• Dispense medications and DME as ordered, per state regulations.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and clean exam rooms.
• Document accurately and handle front/back office duties.
