Job summary

Concentra, Inc. in Franklin Park, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced center. You will take vital signs, assist with examinations, manage testing, and perform front/back office duties to deliver excellent patient experiences.

Ideal candidates have an accredited MA program or 6+ months of direct patient care, strong teamwork, HIPAA knowledge, and computer skills including MS Office. Jointly, you will uphold quality care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing as part of clinical workflow.
• Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, and assist with ancillary testing.
• Assist clinicians during examinations and procedures; triage emergencies as needed.
• Handle front and back office duties, including patient check-in/out and documentation.
• Maintain clean exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
