Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to join our patient care team in Madison, WI. The MSS performs routine medical procedures under clinician supervision and supports front/back office operations to deliver an excellent patient experience.

The role includes vital signs, vaccinations, phlebotomy, rapid tests, and assisting clinicians while maintaining HIPAA standards and quality care across a fast-paced center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care as medical assistant
• Military medical specialist experience must meet state credentials

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
• Prepare patients for physical exams and ancillary testing including vaccines and injections
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose)
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments
• Handle clerical tasks and patient flow to ensure accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance
