Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources seeks a Medical Support Assistant to join the Veterans Affairs Sierra Nevada Healthcare System in Las Vegas, NV. This role supports scheduling, patient check-in/out, and EMR documentation to ensure smooth patient flow.

40 hours per week with comprehensive benefits, PTO, and a collaborative team focused on patient care. The position requires courteous communication with Veterans and healthcare staff.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and courteous interaction with patients and staff.
• Ability to handle high-volume calls and scheduling with accuracy.
• Attention to privacy and accuracy in EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments from orders and consults; communicate prep instructions.
• Handle high-volume inbound/outbound calls and deliver excellent service to Veterans and staff.
• Document patient information, create notes, process consults, and maintain EMR data.
• Front desk/check-in and check-out to improve patient flow and reduce wait times.
• Assist radiology administration tasks, CD processing, and general admin support.
