Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources seeks a Medical Support Assistant for our Veterans Affairs Sierra Nevada Healthcare System in Las Vegas, NV. 40 hours/week with front desk, scheduling, EMR documentation, and radiology support.

Medical Support Assistant

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for Medical Support Assistantto join our dynamic team at the Veterans Affairs Sierra Nevada Healthcare System, in Las Vegas, NV.

Work Hours

40 hours per week.

Duties

• Scheduling appointments accurately from provider orders and consults, while reviewing and communicating patient prep instructions.
• Managing high-volume inbound and outbound calls and providing exceptional customer service to Veterans and healthcare staff.
• Documenting patient information, creating notes, processing consults, and maintaining sensitive information within electronic medical records (EMR).
• Performing front desk and patient check-in/check-out functions efficiently to improve patient flow and reduce wait times.
• Supporting radiology administration functions, including CD processing, virtual file room activities, provider communications, and general administrative support.
