Job summary

LifeWorks Wellness Center is seeking a highly organized Medical Scribe to support an integrative medical practice in Florida. You will document notes in real time, prepare charts, and maintain room readiness to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

The role requires at least 1 year of medical assistant experience, familiarity with EMRs, and strong data-entry skills. This position offers a 37.5-hour work week and full benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of medical assistant experience.
• Experience as a medical scribe required.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check & drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Document the doctor’s notes in real time into EMRs.
• Prepare patient charts with tests and reports prior to appointments.
• Maintain stock of office and medical supplies.
• Set up and clean rooms between patient appointments.
• Coordinate with RNs to gather necessary patient information.
• Assist with muscle testing as required by the doctor.
• Ensure complete and accurate charting to support scripts and orders.
• Assist the RN team when the doctor is out of the office.
• Follow clinic policies and protect patient confidentiality.
