Job summary

Evergreen Family Health Center is seeking a Medical Scribe to support a physician in a busy clinic. The role focuses on accurate, real-time documentation of patient visits, exams, screenings, and treatments under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an approved Medical Scribe Program or equivalent.
• 1+ year of work experience in a medical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Care team huddles and pre-visit planning to support physician care plans.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Document medical visits and procedures accurately in real time, including histories, exams, screenings and diagnoses.
• Prepare referral letters as directed by the physician and ensure letters are mailed or faxed daily.
• Monitor for mistakes in documentation and correct discrepancies under physician approval.
• Record clinical data, lab results, and test interpretations in the medical record with accuracy.
