Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Winter Park is seeking a Medical Scribe to accompany physicians in the exam room and document each patient interaction in real time.

Scribes work with the EHR system, performing clerical duties and not providing patient care. A minimum of one year in healthcare, knowledge of medical terminology, and a Florida driver's license for travel between clinics are required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year in the healthcare field required.
• Experience in a direct patient care environment highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology required.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education is required.
• Valid Florida driver's license required for travel between clinics.

Responsibilities

• The primary duties for the medical scribe are to accompany the physician into the exam room in order to document each patient's interaction with the doctor.
• Scribes will use the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in real-time to document dictation from the physician.
• Scribes are clerical in nature and are not patient care providers.
