Job summary

Legent Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to accurately document medical charts under the supervision of a provider. The role supports the physician during patient exams by recording detailed information into the EMR and performing related clerical duties to boost provider efficiency and patient flow.

Applicants should have strong verbal communication, basic medical terminology, and the ability to draft clear narrative notes with accurate grammar and proofreading.

Qualifications

• Strong and written verbal communication.
• Ability to observe and draft a narrative account of events accurately.
• Spell proofread and edit written text.
• Keyboard proficiency (approximately 60 words/minute).
• Ability to operate a computer and related software applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physician(s).
• Enter patient room with the physician to capture and transcribe medical record documentation.
• Ensure medical record compliance with self-documentation attestation and date/time entries.
• Update patient history, physical exam, and other health information in the patient record.
• Prepare and send documentation to physician for review and approval.
