Job summary

ScribeAmerica is hiring Medical Scribes to support doctors in outpatient settings. You will document patient visits, record medical history, exams, and treatments while using EHR systems. Training is provided, and there are both full-time and part-time opportunities with room for growth.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, are 18+, fluent in English, and can type 40+ WPM. A flexible schedule and HIPAA compliance are required for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proof of vaccinations may be required.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours a day.
• Access to a laptop (provided after training but needed for training).

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything.
• Record patient history, exams, and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow-ups.
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly.
