Job summary

ScribeAmerica is hiring on-site Medical Scribes to work alongside physicians, documenting patient visits in real time using EHR systems. You will record histories, exams, treatments, and test results while ensuring HIPAA compliance. This entry-level role offers training and a path to hands-on clinical exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Ability to stand/sit and use a computer for several hours.
• Access to a laptop (provided for training, bring your own for training).
• On-site healthcare setting experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything.
• Record patient history, exams, and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow‑ups.
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly.
